A former employee of DK “Ukroboronprom” was found guilty of treason. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The General Prosecutor’s Office informed about this on September 17.
Prosecutors proved in court that in 2022, an employee of a defense complex company went over to the side of the enemy to fulfill the task of the Russian special services to collect and transfer detailed information of a military nature to them.
During the defense of the Kyiv region, in the spring of 2022, the convict gave information about the results of rocket and artillery shelling of the capital and the surrounding territories to the curator – an intermediary of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
After rocket strikes on residential buildings in Kyiv, a man sent photos from the affected area, images of damaged structures with the exact address, and fragments of ammunition that were used to strike.
In addition, he repeatedly reported to the enemy detailed information about the positions, numbers and movement routes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as the location of roadblocks, engineering fortifications and weapons depots in the Kyiv region.
The representatives of the Russian Federation used the received data to launch new attacks on Ukrainian positions.
According to the public indictment of the prosecutors of the Vinnytsia regional prosecutor’s office, a former employee of the DK “Ukroboronprom” was found guilty of treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The convict’s illegal actions were exposed at the beginning of 2023.
He was waiting for the court verdict in custody. He did not admit his guilt in court.
As ArmiyaInform reported, law enforcement officers also started an investigation into the alleged execution of a Ukrainian serviceman by representatives of the Soviet Union.
