Nine children and a 20-year-old boy and his brother were returned to Ukraine. They were returned as part of the implementation of the approved action plan of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA.

This was reported by ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

The age of the returnees is from 13 to 17 years. Some of them have disabilities and serious illnesses. The returned Ukrainians are from the Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea.

At the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, some of the returned children were in the Oleshkiv Children’s Boarding Home. Later, the occupation authorities took them to the city of Skadovsk and Russia.

Through the mediation of the State of Qatar, it was possible to reunite the children with their families, who were separated for a long time by the Russians.

One of the boys, who returned to his native land today, lost his dad, who defended Ukraine during the Russian invasion. Some of the children will finally, after a long time, embrace their relatives who are faithfully serving in various structures of Ukraine. Some returned to their grandparents, because they are the ones who can give a happy childhood in their native land.
