350 horsepower and more than 100 km per hour – the paratroopers told about the American Stryker armored personnel carrier

These armored vehicles have become very reliable assistants in today’s Russian-Ukrainian war. Powerful, fast, reliable, practical in service.

The video about the armored personnel carrier was released on September 25 by the Airborne Assault Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“Everything here is practical and properly organized. Availability and convenience of service. Removed the cover – and everything is at your fingertips. Removed the fasteners, replaced everything that was needed. Everything in it is thought out, as for real boys. The guys sit down and play jazz,” said Ihor with the call sign “Bim”, a driver-electrician of the 170th logistics regiment of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Stryker is equipped with a 350 hp Caterpillar 3126 diesel engine. The car is capable of developing a speed of more than 100 km.

“Our guys squeeze everything out of them. Especially in Kurshchyna,” Igor said.

Unfortunately, any technique breaks down. This 2008 combat vehicle was no exception.

“The oil seal of the crankshaft was thrown out. It was practically replaced by oil, one oil hose was broken. Nothing, we will fix everything,” Igor assured.

One of the biggest features of the car is its fire protection system. The armored personnel carrier is equipped with an FM200 automatic fire extinguishing system in the transport compartment and two FM25 automatic fire extinguishing modules in the engine compartment.

“In case of fire, everyone will be safe. The system works reliably. Many lives were saved by these machines. Where the Soviet “bekhs” would not have succeeded,” noted Igor.
