The military department of the Russian Federation has prepared amendments to the “Regulations on military-medical examination”, which in the case of adoption will facilitate the conscription to the army of soldiers suffering from certain diseases. Judging from the documents, today, for example, conscripts with primary, secondary and hidden syphilis are exempted from service by category “B” (limited suitable, is not subject to conscription in peacetime). But in the case of adopting amendments, boys with these diseases will receive a category “B” (suitable with minor restrictions).
Also, conscripts with moderately pronounced, short -term endogenous psychoses and pronounced neurotic psychoses associated with stress and somatoform disorders and mood disorders will receive a category “B” instead of “D” (not suitable for military service).
