North Korean soldiers who were stationed in Russia to support the aggressive war against Ukraine could officially indicate that they were studying when entering the Russian Federation. In the third quarter of this year, 3,765 North Koreans went to Russia “for the purpose of training.” This is a record number.

This “coincides with reports of the deployment of North Korean troops in the country,” the report said.

Previously, the number of North Korean students in Russia was much lower – for example, in April of this year, according to the Russian authorities, there were 130 of them.
