“Investigators sent a request to the court to apply coercive measures of a medical nature to the suspect in the form of hospitalization in a specialized institution,” the Kyiv police reported.
According to the police, a previously conducted forensic psychiatric examination established that the suspect has certain health disorders, is on medical records and, due to her condition at the time of the crime, could not be aware of her actions and control them.
“Until the court’s decision, she will be in a psychiatric care facility,” the police said.

The 61-year-old local woman is suspected of having committed an act of vandalism at night in June this year on the graves of the fallen defenders of Ukraine – Dmytro Kotsyubail with the nickname “Da Vinci”, Pavel Petrichenko and Andriy Pylschikov with the nickname “Jus”. Then, the violator, with hooligan motives, struck more than 20 blows with a stick at the military burial places, broke portraits and gutted lamps.
