Denmark has announced a new aid package for Ukraine: what is included in it

The Danish Ministry of Defense announced the 23rd aid package for Ukraine, which provides for 2.1 billion Danish kroner (over 281 million euros), among other things, to strengthen the capabilities of Ukraine’s air defense and combat aviation. The new aid package is reportedly aimed at strengthening Ukrainian air defense, which is provided through Denmark’s international partners. In addition, the package provides for a financial contribution to the operation of the Ukrainian F-16 capabilities.

“One of the most urgent needs of Ukraine now is the ability to defend itself against Russian airstrikes. That is why we give priority to greater support for air defense. In addition, the package includes a financial contribution to the functioning of Ukraine’s combat aviation, in the development of which Denmark played a special role by transferring combat aircraft F -16 and having prepared personnel,” said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

In addition, as indicated, Denmark, in cooperation with Sweden, is donating a number of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, Denmark is also sending more personnel for NATO’s enhanced support for Ukraine and increasing its contribution to the EU military mission to support Ukraine, the Danish Ministry of Defense said.
