“After a full-scale war, an increase in the proportion of those who attributed themselves to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was observed. In fact, it began before the start of a full-scale war. In 2021, the proportion of those who attributed themselves to the PCU was 24%, in 2022 it increased to 36%, in 2023 to 42%of all respondents.
According to the sociologist, such a decrease in those who attributed themselves to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in 2024, in particular, is associated with a decrease in the attitude of themselves to Orthodoxy. Because compared to the 2023, the number of such people decreased from 61% to 51%.
“After the start of the full -scale war, those who refer themselves to the faithful of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate became significantly less. In 2021, such were 13%, while according to the latter, such a survey was 5.5%,” Mishchenko emphasized.
Reference
2 017 respondents aged 18 years of age took part in the survey. The theoretical sample error does not exceed 2.3%.
Recall
There were no registered religious community of the UOC -MP in the Lviv region. Of the 54 communities that were in a full -scale invasion, 27 joined the PCC, and 27 stopped their activities.
