An investigation was launched due to the Russian attack on Kharkiv: the blow was caused by a FAB-250 bomb

Criminal proceedings have been opened following the fact that Russian troops hit a residential building in Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb, as a result of which 21 people, including children, were injured, writes UNN with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted within the framework of criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of the laws and customs of war. Procedural management is carried out by the Shevchenkiv District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv.

“According to the investigation, on September 21, at around 11:00 p.m., the Russian armed forces carried out another airstrike on Kharkiv. The bomb exploded a few meters from the entrance to a 16-story building in the Shevchenkiv district of the city. Three minors were injured: an 8-year-old girl and a 17-year-old a year-old boy and girl.Nighboring high-rise buildings and more than 25 cars were also damaged.

According to preliminary data, the blow was caused by a FAB-250 bomb with an UMPK module. Prosecutors and police investigators are actively working on documenting this war crime committed by the Russian military,” the message reads.

As a result of the attack on Kharkiv in the evening of September 21, eight people were hospitalized. A 39-year-old woman is in serious condition.
