“Regarding the mobilization of 18-year-olds, if they pass BZVP (basic combined military training – ed.) at the University and will be expelled. No one can mobilize anyone!” – remarked People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko.
He emphasized that mobilization under the age of 25 is prohibited in Ukraine.
“Even if you passed the BZVP. You can’t be mobilized. Period. Somehow, everyone has to come to their senses,” Goncharenko said.
At the same time, the head of the CPD at the NSDC, Kovalenko, also noted that we have had mobilization for 25 years. Therefore, mobilization of 18-year-old students after BZVP is impossible in principle.

People’s deputy from the “Servant of the People” faction, Oleksandr Fedienko, said that Ukraine is currently not considering changing the age category of the mobilization resource. No legislative initiatives were received, and the deputies are not ready to vote for such a decision.
But People’s Deputy Dmytro Razumkov said in an interview with the mass media that 18-year-old students will allegedly be able to be mobilized if they undergo basic military training during their studies, but in the future they will be excluded.
“Starting next year, they will undergo basic military training in universities in the first year, and after that, for example, if a person is expelled, they will be mobilized at the age of 19 or at 18 and a half,” said Razumkov.
