“1,000 hryvnias from the government have no relation to the population census – sociologist Sociologist Ella Libanova denied the connection between the payment of 1,000 hryvnias and the population census. According to her, the census is impossible during the war, and its purpose is to study the composition of the population, not counting.”, — write on: unn.ua
Details
According to Ella Libanova, a census of the population of Ukraine is needed, but it is impossible to conduct it in the conditions of war. In addition, she refuted the theory that UAH 1,000 from the government is an analogue of the population census.
“But this is nonsense, it has nothing to do with the population census at all. We have a method developed, adapted, adjusted, it is believed to be unique in the world. We more or less accurately estimate the population size. The issue is not the number. The population census is it’s not about the number, it’s about the composition of the population. It’s about the educational, ethnic, family composition, living conditions,” said the expert.
Context
Previously, a number of People’s Deputies and experts assumed that the distribution of UAH 1,000 under the “Winter eSupport” program aims to renumber the population.
