President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded ten DTEK energy workers with state awards for their work on restoring electricity supply after the shelling. On December 22, on the day of the professional holiday of all energy workers of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky presented state awards to ten employees of DTEK, who restored electricity supply after shelling. “There is currently no such power plant in Ukraine that would not suffer from Russian strikes. And all living Ukrainian energy facilities, all our living energy networks are what thousands of our workers in the energy industry were able to protect, restore, and build,” the President emphasized.
In addition to awards from the President, one specialist received the thanks of the Prime Minister, nine received certificates of honor from the Cabinet of Ministers. A total of 188 energy workers of DTEK were awarded certificates and thanks from the Ministry of Energy. The company noted that these awards are a well-deserved recognition of the daily work of people who restore and protect the power system under fire, in frontline regions and in extremely difficult conditions.
“Every day you work, risking your own life, so that Ukrainians have light in their homes. These awards are a symbol of gratitude to the entire energy community of the country,” Zelenskyy added.
