President Volodymyr Zelenskyi recalled a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, during which he explained the need to condemn Russian aggression.

Details: Zelensky was asked about the spread of pro-Russian sentiment in some European countries, in particular Slovakia.
In his opinion, in the case of Slovakia it is said that “their politicians do not fully realize and understand what war is, and are simply taking advantage of the situation.”
“Of course, people in Slovakia have different opinions, but the Slovak government is playing very dangerous games, and it is doing it because the war did not come to their home. They do not understand this. And I believe that evil must be punished,” he added. Zelensky
He then mentioned the conversation with Robert Fizo, which, judging by the context, took place at one of the EU summits.
“He tells me that ‘here we still need to understand what is evil and what is not,’ and I told him that you cannot forgive a murderer. I tell him: ‘You were shot. Why didn’t you forgive the murderer? Why did you arrest the person who shot at you?” the president said.
Zelensky then reminded Fico that he and other European leaders condemned the attempt on him, “because shooting people is a crime. And Putin is the same, he shoots other people.”
In recent days, relations between Ukraine and Slovakia have significantly worsened after the Slovak prime minister began sharply criticizing Kyiv and Zelensky personally over the termination of Russian gas transit.
Fico also voiced a list of threats to Kyiv, including the use of a veto on EU decisions regarding Ukraine.
