Zelensky’s direct speech: “Yes, I believe that the presence of international troops is a real guarantee of security. It is a strengthening of the security guarantees that our partners already offer us, and it is the confidence of Ukrainian citizens, first of all, both civilians and military, as well as the confidence of business – Ukrainian and international, investors, that (the head of the Russian Federation Volodymyr – ed.) Putin will not come with a new aggression against peaceful Ukraine.”

- On December 28, a meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place in the USA. After that, the presidents held a video conference with European leaders.
- At the press conference following the results of the meeting, Trump and Zelensky reported that they failed to resolve the Donbas issue.
