“President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that some norms of the law on mobilization should be adjusted, and he also called it wrong for the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Lytvynenko to name the exact number of people who need to be mobilized.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

Details: The President was asked how he assesses the half-year effect of the law on mobilization.

Direct speech: “In different ways. There are different sides to this law. Life and paper, although that cannot be said about laws – in reality everything is a little different. There are rules to live according to the law, and that is right, but if those or other norms of legislation of any kind are not supported by society, primarily by representatives of the military, then some things need to be adjusted a little.
In general, according to the reports of the Chief of Staff, the Chief of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense, who report on the mobilization at the pond, there are some things that they have to sort out, there are some things that are going as planned.”
Details: When asked if he agrees with the figure of 160,000 people who, according to the NSDC secretary, are planned to be mobilized, Zelenskyi said: “I do not agree with the figures. We cannot talk about the exact figure here. Because there is a question of the task. If you you see that there are not enough people at the front – this is your answer, whether hundreds of thousands of people were mobilized or not.”
Direct speech: “If I say frankly, how much was mobilized after this law… Do I know? Yes. Is it enough? No. Because the most important thing is people, so I really want to do everything wisely with such steps. Therefore, if there is not enough, then no one mobilized half a million.
To say an exact number – I think it’s just wrong. That’s why I’m surprised by the secretary of the National Security Council, I didn’t know that he was disseminating information about what happened and what will happen.”
Details: Commenting on reports of massive cases of voluntary desertion of units (SZCH), Zelenskyi noted that he would not like to generalize these cases, as the reasons can be very different, and such cases occur even in “ideal” brigades.
“I would not like to generalize things related to the SDF – different reasons, different people, attitudes. But for the most part, the army is strong, the people are heroic and understand what mobilization and a war against Russia or a war for Ukraine are,” he said .
