““Zelensky will now hold meetings in Brussels, he already had excellent meetings with Trump. None of the participants in the work for peace needs Putin’s envoys.””, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
“Since we have such a persistent envoy from Putin, there is only one thing left for us – to respond to his ‘ultimatum’: we need a real, long-lasting and just peace for Ukraine,” he wrote on Kh.
Lytvyn added that Ukraine works in coordination with all partners in America and Europe for this very purpose.
“President Zelensky will now hold meetings in Brussels, and he has already had great meetings with President Trump. None of the participants in the work for peace needs Putin’s envoys,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote on X social network: “We will not respond to any provocations. A ceasefire proposal is on the table. Take it or leave it. It’s your responsibility”
Yes, he commented on Zelensky’s statement that Orban has no leverage over Putin.
The other day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Hungary to stop “immoral manipulations” on the topic of peace and Christmas, as well as to refrain from unilateral contacts with Russia, which undermine joint efforts to restore a just peace.

On the evening of December 11, Orbán accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi of the fact that the president rejected the offer of a Christmas truce and exchange of prisoners.
“At the end of Hungary’s EU presidency, we made new efforts for peace. We proposed a Christmas ceasefire and a large-scale prisoner exchange. It is sad that President Zelenskyi clearly rejected and excluded this today. We did what we could!” – Orban wrote on the X network, citing the Ukrainian leader’s hope that the Hungarian prime minister would not listen to the “hour-long lecture” of the ousted Syrian dictator Bashar Assad, who was accepted by Moscow after the overthrow of the regime.
“You don’t need to play on your own image at the expense of unity – you need to take care of joint success,” Zelenskyy wrote on social media, commenting on Orban’s talks with Putin.
There was no telephone conversation or meeting between Zelenskyi and Orban regarding this proposal.
Hungary is one of the few EU countries that, after the start of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, continues to maintain close relations with the Kremlin. Viktor Orban has repeatedly spoken out against European sanctions against Russia and military aid to Ukraine.
In the summer, Orban first visited Kyiv, and later Moscow, for which he was criticized by representatives of a number of EU countries. After Orban’s tour, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that he did not know about such plans of the Prime Minister of Hungary.
