He said this in a comment to journalists, answering questions about why the Polish leader was not invited to the meeting in London, as well as about the prospect of his meeting with the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
“In the second part of today’s meeting, we had a VTC, that is, an online meeting with the leaders. Poland was present. Minister Sikorsky was there. And usually in the Coalition of the Willing, we always have Poland… Usually it is the Prime Minister of Poland, because he was always in the Coalition of the Willing,” he said.
Regarding the President of Poland, Zelensky noted that he would be happy to meet with him.
“I told him this over the phone, I invited him and said: ‘Please choose a date,'” the head of state said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine respects Poland and is grateful to it for sheltering Ukrainians and helping them.
“The President of Poland, in his turn – I recently heard a signal in the media that he has invited me. Probably, in order for me to come, I need a date. And then, if the President officially, unofficially, as he wants, invites and offers a date, of course, I will come on an official visit to Poland. This is important to me,” the president said.
