On September 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, which discussed key issues important for strengthening Ukraine.
In particular, the issue of protecting the energy infrastructure for the winter period was considered. Reports on this issue were presented by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko. They discussed the state of the engineering protection of the facilities, the terms of fortifications, as well as the issue of deployment of electronic warfare (EW) and air defense (APD), in particular Patriot systems, which Ukraine expects in the near future.
The second important issue was the own production of missiles, drones and electronic warfare equipment. Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga gave reports on this issue. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of making decisions that will allow Ukrainian industry to realize its potential, in particular through long-term contracts from the state and the attraction of foreign investments.
In addition, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky and intelligence representatives Kyrylo Budanov and Oleg Ivashchenko reported on the situation at the front.
