Zelenskyi discussed the US “peace plan” with von der Leyen and the head of the European Council

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that on Friday he had a telephone conversation with the EU leadership, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the head of the European Council, Antonio Kosta, regarding the “peace plan” proposed by the US.

Details: Zelenskyi said that he told the EU leadership about “the proposals of the American side to end the war and contacts with partners in Europe and the United States.”

Details: The head of state also announced further meetings and phone calls, adding that “the teams of Ukraine, the USA and Europe will work together.”

What happened before:

• US President Donald Trump gave Ukraine until next Thursday, November 27, to agree to the “peace plan” proposed by the US side.
• On Friday, Zelensky addressed the Ukrainian people, in which he said that Ukraine today faced a difficult choice and risked losing either its dignity or its key partner.
