Zelensky urged to increase pressure on Russia to end the war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need to increase pressure on Russia in order to end the war. In his opinion, Russian leader Vladimir Putin only perceives the language of power and has not yet demonstrated intentions to stop aggression. This, in particular, is evidenced by large -scale blows in Ukrainian cities during last night. He reported such a head of state during a daily evening address.

– This war must be finished. Should activate the pressure on Russia to stop the conflict. Putin does not accept anything but power decisions. Of course, we make and make every effort to protect the sovereignty and lives of citizens. President Trump rightly stated that actions should not only be defensive. At the same time, we continue to work hard on the diplomatic front, negotiating with partners to achieve peace on fair conditions, – Zelensky said. National security experts are involved in work – yesterday consultations have taken place, and active negotiations are underway today. Military leadership – commander -in -chief, General Staff – is responsible for developing a strategy for guaranteeing Ukraine’s security. New elements of the future national security system are formed daily.

The president also stressed that new steps from allies to support Ukraine are expected daily. He expressed his gratitude to all who joined together to reduce the duration of the military confrontation.
