The head of state noted that the positions of Ukraine and its partners regarding a peaceful settlement coincide — Kyiv is ready to end the war through diplomatic means.
According to Zelenskyi, the issue of peace was discussed during his meeting with US President Donald Trump. The leaders agreed that the negotiations could start precisely from the current front line.
“The front line can be the beginning of diplomacy. Russia is again doing everything to jump off diplomacy,” the president emphasized.
He also noted that after the expansion of Ukraine’s range of strike capabilities, Moscow immediately lost interest in diplomacy.
“This is a signal that this very issue — the long-range issue — can become the key to peace,” Zelenskyy concluded.
US President Donald Trump, during a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyi, expressed disappointment in the state of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
At the same time, US Vice President JD Vance noted that the final decision on the supply of missiles has not yet been made, but the US continues to evaluate the possibilities of providing military assistance to Ukraine.
We will remind, at this meeting, Trump said that he does not think that Ukraine will be able to win the war with Russia. However, he does not rule out such a possibility.
