“The specific decisions have agreed. The first is one hundred percent of the sanctions of our country and partners. The sanctions packages of the European Union and other global entities should also be fully confirmed by the national sanctioning decisions of Ukraine,” the Head of State emphasized.
Zelensky has set the task of expanding sanctions on the captains of the “shadow fleet” of the Russian Federation, as well as for Russian terminals that ship oil. The corresponding decisions should also be synchronized with partners.
The meeting also considered new areas of sanctions in order to complicate Russia with the ability to delay the war. In particular, this applies to financial instruments, cryptocurrencies, payment schemes and supply of components and equipment to Russia for weapons.
We will remind, the EU expects to approve the 18th package of sanctions against Russia next week.
Earlier it became known that in the project of the 18th EU sanctions against Russia, the European Commission has made a proposal to reduce the upper limit of the price of Russian oil from 60 to 45 dollars per barrel.
Subsequently, it became known that the EU will not reduce the maximum price for Russian oil on its own, since this initiative does not have the support of the Seven Group.
