The President is expecting a new government program in the near future.
Zelensky stated that Yulia Sviridenko proposed to head the Cabinet / photo of Zelenskiy / OfficialPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested the First Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko to head the Government of Ukraine. The head of state reported this in Telegram.
“They also discussed specific measures that can strengthen the economic potential of Ukraine, expand the support programs of Ukrainians and scale our own production of weapons. To this end, we begin to transform the executive system in Ukraine. I suggested that Yulia Sviridenko lead the government of Ukraine and significantly update its work.”
The President is expecting a new government program in the near future.
According to Zelensky, during a meeting with Sviridenko there was a report on the implementation of agreements with European and American partners on support of Ukraine, which were reached within the framework of the conference on the restoration of Ukraine recently. Zelensky added:
“We have to realize everything that can support the sustainability of our country and society as soon as possible.”
Rearranging in the governmentAs reported by UNIAN, on June 17, the People’s Deputy from the Voice faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that the resignation of the current Prime Minister Denis Shmigal will take place. The deputy added that the Shmigal government “is increasingly losing support.”
On July 13, Zelensky announced the transformation of executive power. The Head of State had an important conversation with Prime Minister Denis Shmigal, during which they discussed strategic steps to implement these changes. According to the President, the transformation will affect the defense area. According to the President, it is necessary to “significantly reduce non -critical state expenditures and as much as possible – thanks to deregulation – to send public forces for the sake of economic development.”
Before that, Zelensky stated that if he made a decision on the appointment of the current Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov by the ambassador of Ukraine to the United States instead of Oksana Markarova, it will lead to serious changes in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
