The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed Law No. 12104, which provides for a postponement of mobilization for citizens whose close relatives died or went missing during the war.

The document amends Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mobilization Training and Mobilization”, which states that women and men whose close relatives died or went missing during hostilities are not eligible for military service during mobilization, for a special period.

On November 20, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft law No. 12104 on clarifying the basis for granting a deferment to conscript men and women whose close relatives died or went missing while participating in hostilities.
