“Today there was a lot of different information, outrage and discussions about transfers. I instructed to clarify everything to society and not to reduce the number of specialists needed by the Air Force to perform combat tasks – our aviation, air defense and mobile fire groups,” Zelenskyy said.
The scandal arose after Sergeant Vitaly “Bart” Gorzhevskyi, who serves in the 114th Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published an appeal on behalf of the aviation technicians and service personnel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He reported mass cases of specialists being transferred to the infantry.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces reacted to this. There they recognized that due to the lack of people at the front, some military categories, after training in training centers, could be sent to strengthen the Ground and Airborne Assault Forces.
