President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined three main areas that should be the foundation of security guarantees for Ukraine: strengthening the army, international cooperation and sancing pressure on the aggressor.
He reported this during a briefing.
The head of state noted that priority is stable financing of the Armed Forces and ensuring constant supply of weapons. To do this, Ukraine implements three parallel directions:

Domestic production – drones, technologies and other components;

European production – air defense systems, artillery and more;

American weapons – the relevant needs have already been transferred in the document.
The second block of guarantees provides partnerships that compensate for the lack of full membership in NATO. The President stressed that Ukraine’s support should be consistent at the level of the leaders of the states in order to be sure of the solidarity of allies in the event of new attacks in Russia.
The third block concerns sanctions policy. Zelensky stressed that sanctions should remain an integral part of the security system and restraint. Particular attention is paid to Russian assets, which must work for the restoration of Ukraine, in particular in energy and communication.
In addition, the President noted that Ukraine’s full membership in the EU also serves as an important component of security guarantees, especially economic ones.
The United States is planning to participate in Ukraine’s security after the war with Russia.
Security guarantees for Ukraine have become a key topic of recent peace talks. Ukraine insists on obtaining clear obligations from the US and Europe to restrain further Russian aggression. The form of these obligations can determine the architecture of European security for decades in advance.
