Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi is ready to cooperate with US President Donald Trump, who will officially take office today, on the issue of ending the war. Mike Waltz, the future adviser to the American president on national security, said this in an interview with CBS.
To the journalist’s question about whether there is a plan to end the war in Ukraine, Voltz replied that he would not like to rush ahead. However, he named three points that, in his opinion, should be key and relate to possible negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
The first is the question of who should be at the negotiating table. The second is how to bring these people to the negotiating table. And finally, the third – what should be the framework of the peace agreement. The future of peace in Ukraine depends on the answer to these three key questions.
Waltz assured that Trump is “determined” to end the Russian-Ukrainian war and is “clearly speaking” about it.
We previously wrote that after Trump’s inauguration, the fate of Ukraine hangs in the balance.
