A very warm and meaningful conversation with the President of Argentina Javier Miley. He congratulated Javier on Christmas and Hanukkah, and on the coming New Year, and also noted Argentina’s progress in economic reforms, liberalization of foreign trade and curbing inflation. Zelensky wished the country’s leader and the Argentine government to demonstrate the same positive dynamics next year, as “success in one part of the world means the possibility of benefit for all.”
The President also thanked Miley for supporting Ukraine and understanding Kyiv’s position in the war with the Russian Federation.
In addition, the leaders of the countries discussed vectors of cooperation, in particular, economic and security cooperation, as well as partnership within MERCOSUR (economic union of states in South America).
