Volodymyr Zelensky believes that US President Joe Biden can make “important decisions” to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities before the end of his term.

Details: The head of state expressed his belief that Biden can “strengthen Ukraine and make important decisions for Ukraine to become stronger and protect its independence while he is the president of the United States.”
“I believe that this is still a historical mission, at least from the perspective of Ukraine. Because he has his own life and his own political career. I don’t know what is most important for him. I am speaking only from the point of view of this war,” he added Zelensky
He suggested that such a decision by Biden “depends on many things”, including whether he listens to Ukraine’s arguments.
“We had some decisions in the history of our relationship with Biden, there were very interesting and difficult dialogues. He then changed his mind,” the president said.
Zelensky also said that he wants to hear the opinion of the vice president and presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, Kamala Harris, regarding his “victory plan”.
Zelensky is expected to present a detailed version of the plan to Biden when they meet in Washington on September 26. He also wants to introduce him to presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
According to Bloomberg, the “victory plan” includes an invitation to Ukraine to join NATO and the commitment of the United States to the constant supply of modern weapons.
Earlier, the head of state said that the “victory plan” is designed for decisions to be made in October-December 2024.
