President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree that implemented the NSDC’s decision to deprive 34 people of state awards. In particular, we are talking about Russian singers Mykola Baskov, Philip Kirkorov and singers Ani Lorak and Taisia ​​Povaly, reports UNN.

“The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree that implemented the NSDC’s decision to deprive Ukraine of traitors with state awards,” the message reads.

The first list included 34 people. Among them are former government officials, people’s deputies, heads of the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors, artists, Russian political, religious and cultural figures. All of them were deprived of state awards of Ukraine indefinitely.

The maximum set of sanctions – 21 types – was applied to ten of them. It is not only about the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine, but also, in particular, about the blocking of assets, the cancellation of licenses and permits, and the complete cessation of trade operations.

It is noted that sanctions were applied to seven of them for the first time. In particular, this is the former first deputy leader of the political party “Party of Regions” and the head of the relevant faction Oleksandr Efremov. He had the Order of Merit I-III degree and Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree. Former First Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Renat Kuzmin. He had the Order of Merit II-III degrees and the title “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”.

Also, eight persons who are already under other sanctions of Ukraine were deprived of state awards of Ukraine:

Former People’s Deputy of II-IV and IX convocations Viktor Medvedchuk. He was awarded the “For Merit” orders of I-III degrees and Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree, had the title of “Honored Lawyer of Ukraine”.

Former Minister of Education and Science (2010–2014) Dmytro Tobacconist. He had orders of Prince Yaroslav the Wise IV-V degrees and the title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology”.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine (2010–2014) Mykola Azarovwho was awarded the Order of Merit I-III degrees and Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree, and also had the title “Honored Economist of Ukraine”.

In addition, the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine (2010–2014) Viktor was also deprived of the state award of Ukraine Millet. He had the Order of Merit, III degree.

Andriy, a former People’s Deputy of the III-IX convocations Corncrake. He had the Order of Merit, III degree.

Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church and former agent of the KGB Kirill. He was awarded the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, 1st degree.

Addition

The day before, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported draft law No. 11410, which was initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. This draft law provides for the deprivation of state awards of Ukraine of persons who have been convicted of serious or particularly serious crimes, criminal offenses against the foundations of national security of Ukraine, against peace, security of humanity and international legal order, certain crimes against public safety; those who promote the aggressor state or justify the occupation of Ukraine.
