“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will be able to consider membership in the “Peace Council” created by the US president only after the end of the war – as he does not consider it possible to be there at the same table with Russia and Belarus.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

Details: Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine received an invitation from Trump to the Peace Council, and said that the reference to it is already included in the “20-point plan”, which was developed on the basis of the initial “peace plan” of the United States – as a body proposed by the United States to participate in monitoring the ceasefire.

He noted that he did not know exactly what Trump’s plan is for the Peace Council and who he plans to invite there.
“But it is clear to us that we will be able to be there when the war ends. We are now enemies with Russia. Belarus is an ally of Russia, we cannot be (at the same table – Ed.) with them. And this is already in the package, in the 20-point plan. I think all this, with the monitoring mission, will work when the war ends – just for us,” Zelenskyy said.
It will be recalled that on the afternoon of January 22, Zelenskyi met with US President Donald Trump, which both sides called “good”.
Trump said that they did not mention the issue of Ukraine’s participation in his “Peace Council” at the meeting.
Before that, the official launch of the “Peace Council” took place on the WEF grounds in Davos. – None of the traditional Western European allies of the USA have entered there yet.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine received an invitation to the organization, but is still considering it.
In the evening of January 22, the issue with the “Peace Council” will be on the agenda of the extraordinary EU summit.
