During a meeting with partners in London, on April 23, the Ukrainian side insisted on an immediate cease to stop the fire for further peace talks. However, Russia tightens the process and tries to manipulate negotiations.
Presidential office Andriy Yermak reported this in a telegram.
“Today in London we have held an important meeting with advisers on national security and foreign policy of the participants of the coalition of people,” Yermak said.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov also took part in the meeting. From the UK-Prime Minister for National Security Jonathan Powell, by France-Presidential Diplomatic Advisor Emmanuel Bonn, from Germany-Advisor to the Chancellor on Foreign Policy and Security Jens Pletner.
The meeting was held at the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the invitation of Foreign Minister David Lammi.
“This is the second such meeting – the previous one took place in Paris. And today we have continued a deep dialogue aimed at achieving a just and sustained peace in Ukraine. We emphasized that we were committed to the peaceful efforts of US President Donald Trump, ”Yermak emphasized.
He expressed his gratitude to partners for his firm support and a common desire to stop the war as soon as possible.
“Russia continues to give up the unconditional ceasefire, delaying the process and trying to manipulate negotiations. But the international unity and clear position of our partners leave it no chance, ”Yermak summed up.
Recall that the US delegation has canceled a high -level visit to London’s negotiations to end the war because of Ukraine’s reluctance to give away territories and to conclude an immediate peace on the conditions offered by the United States.
The US can get out of mediation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, if they do not receive a positive response to their proposal, Vice president Jay Di Wance said.
