His rights were reinstated based on his application on January 23, and his rights were suspended on February 20, 2020. Yermak received a lawyer’s certificate in 1995 and is registered with the Kyiv Bar Council.
The situation with Yermak is complicated by the fact that NABU detectives searched his office last fall. These actions were related to the investigation of a high-profile corruption case in the energy sector, according to media reports. After the searches, he resigned and expressed his intention to join the front.
Meanwhile, the NABU director stated that suspicions against Yermak have not yet been raised, but did not specify his whereabouts.
Andriy Yermak has been the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine since February 11, 2020, when he was appointed to this position by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. His activities in this position caused ambiguous assessments, especially in the context of anti-corruption policy.
