Yermak named the price of oil at which Russia would not be able to fight

Russia needs to be banned from selling oil for more than $30 per barrel, and Russia’s ability to finance the war will collapse. Now the price threshold is 60 dollars.

Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, wrote about this in Telegram.

“A strict price cap and further reduction in the price of a barrel of Russian oil is the way to global security. Our sanctions group proposes to fix the price at $30,” Yermak said.

He emphasized that Ukraine fully supports US President Donald Trump in his efforts to lower oil prices.

“Because the consequence of this will be the collapse of Russian capabilities to finance the war,” added the head of the OP.

It will be recalled that on January 23, in a speech in Davos, Trump placed the responsibility on the Russian Federation for concluding a peace agreement, since Ukraine is ready for negotiations. At the same time, he pointed out that it is possible to complete a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine without Putin’s consent, for this a decrease in global oil prices is required.
