Details: Court hearings in the case are constantly postponed with long interruptions. Yes, the meeting that was supposed to take place on January 20 was postponed due to a power outage in the Pechersk District Court – the next one will take place in March.

In addition, the case itself is voluminous, including at least 169 volumes and 5 defendants, whose interests are represented by a group of lawyers.
It should be noted that the case involves 5 employees of the Special Aviation Detachment of the Operational and Rescue Service of Civil Protection (ORSCZ) of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv Region.
Four of them – under part 3 of Art. 276 of the Civil Code (violation of safety rules of air transport flights, which caused the death of people). It:
- Ivan Korobka — head of the Department of Aviation and Aviation Search and Rescue of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine;
- Volodymyr Leonov — v. at. commander of a special aviation unit;
- Oleg Ivanov — deputy commander for flight training;
- Andriy Dvornyk is the commander of a special helicopter squadron.
The head of the flight security service of the same unit, Yan Koshman, is charged with official negligence, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation into the plane crash, conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Security Service of Ukraine, ended in November 2023. The case was referred to the court in August 2024.
The investigation believes that officials of the State Emergency Service committed “blatant violations” of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, which led to the death of people.
On January 18, 2026, the third anniversary of the plane crash passed. The current leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs traditionally honored the memory of the dead and laid flowers at the graves at the Baikovo cemetery.
We will remind: The plane crash that happened on January 18, 2023 in Brovary took the lives of 14 people. On board the helicopter were Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin, State Secretary of the Ministry Yuriy Lubkovich, Deputy Head of the Patronage Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetyana Shutyak, Senior Operations Officer of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police Andrii Marynchenko, Chief Inspector of the Department of Communication of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Mykola Anatskyi, Head of the Department of Protection of the Department of Internal Security of the NPU Mykhailo Pavlushko, as well as three crew members — Oleksandr Vasylenko, Kostyantyn Kovalenko and Ivan Kasyanov.
As a result of the tragedy, four civilians were also killed – Olena and Milana Ponomarenka, Maryna Granovska and Tetyana Boychenko.
