Yastremska made a comeback in the match against an American with Ukrainian roots

Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska (WTA 33) successfully started at the hard tournament of the WTA 250 series in Hobart, Australia.

In the 1st round, the Ukrainian, seeded under the 1st number, beat Katie Volynets (WTA 59), an American with Ukrainian roots.

Diana lost the first set (2:6), but then seized the initiative and won two games (6:4, 6:1).

It was the first match between tennis players. The game lasted exactly two hours.

In the 1/8 finals, Yastremska will play against Ann Lee from the USA, who defeated the American Sloane Stevens (7:5, 6:1).
