According to Xi, 2025 will witness “confident steps” in the development of comprehensive strategic partnership and coordination between the two regimes.
We will remind:
- China officially declares its “neutral” position regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine, which is called the “Ukrainian crisis” in Beijing. China did not condemn the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and did not support Western sanctions against Moscow.
- At the same time, Beijing is deepening economic and diplomatic cooperation with Russia. Western intelligence and mass media have repeatedly reported that China supplies Russia with dual-purpose goods, electronics, machines and components used to manufacture weapons, including drones and missiles, with which the Russian Federation attacks Ukraine.
- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and European leaders have repeatedly called on China to use its influence with Putin to stop the war.
