The agency announced the beginning of the second wave of payments, in which another 2.5 million Ukrainians who applied through Diya on November 16 will receive funds. The total amount of the second wave of aid will exceed three billion hryvnias.
In the first wave, 1.8 million citizens who receive pensions and social benefits through Ukrposhta received one thousand hryvnias, as well as 1.7 million users of the Diya application who submitted applications on the first day of the program. The total amount of expenses at that time reached 473 million hryvnias, which are most often used to pay for communal services, to buy books and charity.
The key condition for receiving a thousand hryvnias under the program is an actual stay in Ukraine. Citizens abroad or in territories temporarily occupied by the enemy will not be able to receive this payment.
To date, Ukrainians have already submitted more than 14 million applications: 11.4 million – through Diya, of which 2.9 million – for children, almost 700,000 more – through Ukrposhta branches. Applications will be accepted until December 24 this year. Funds credited to the “National Cashback” card through “Diya” should be used by June 30 of the following year.
As a reminder, the state program “winter support” has been launched in Ukraine, under which every citizen can receive 1,000 hryvnias in one-time assistance.
The government also approved the program of payments of 6,500 hryvnias “Winter Support” for more than 660,000 citizens.
