Winter reminds of itself. The forecaster warned about the weather for the weekend: wet snow and heavy rains

According to Sinoptik.ua, the weather for the weekend in Ukraine will convincingly show everyone that winter is near. On Saturday, bad weather with rain and sleet awaits Ukrainians, and on Sunday, no precipitation is expected, but it will be very cool.

Weather on Saturday, November 23

On Saturday, the sky over the whole of Ukraine will be covered with clouds. There will be light wet snow in the western and northern regions, rain and wet snow in the center, and heavy rain in the east and southeast. Therefore, it is better to postpone long trips on this day. If this is not possible, be very careful on the road, remember the speed limit and keep a safe distance.

The least amount of precipitation is expected in the south, where light rain is possible only in places. But it is better for the residents of Poltava region to stay at home or adjust their plans in advance due to heavy snow and rain.

In the north, center and west of the country, thermometers will show around 0 °C during the day, in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Poltava regions – +4…+6 °C. In the Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, the air will warm up to +7…+9 °С, and in the east – to a record for this time +11…+13 °С.

Weather on Sunday, November 24

Cloudy weather with clearing and no precipitation is expected in most regions of Ukraine on Sunday. Only in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions, light sleet and rain are likely.

In most of the territory of the country, thermometers will show around 0 °C, only in the south and in the Zaporizhzhia region – +4…+6 °C. Small night frosts will come to the west of the country: in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi regions it is expected to reach −4…−6 °С.

Weather on Monday, November 25

The new week will start with precipitation in many regions. In the west of Ukraine (except for Transcarpathia) there will be light sleet with rain, in the east – sleet. In the rest of the country, the weather at the beginning of the week will be cloudy with clearing, without precipitation. In the south, in Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Volyn regions, the air will warm up to +2…+4 °C, in Lviv – up to +5…+7 °C. In the rest of the regions, it is expected to be around 0 °C.

Folk signs and beliefs

If on the morning of November 23 there was frost on the grass and trees, our ancestors were preparing for the arrival of frost. If there was a strong wind, it would soon snow.

November 24 traditionally “prophesied” for the winter: a warm day meant that even in February there would be no severe frosts and blizzards. But slush was considered a harbinger of a cold and windy winter.
