American super heavyweight Deontay Wilder is sure that the chance for a fight with Oleksandr Usyk was lost only because the boxer started to lose regularly and no one is afraid of his punch anymore.
“Everyone just saw that I have problems, there are holes in my armor, that I can be beaten. I remember what happened 5-10 years ago, I remember all these negotiations. Now the language of negotiations has changed, I feel it. And my opponents are ready to fight with me, because my name has remained, but now they are sure that they will be able to win.”
“It’s delusional, but it turns out that the more you lose, the more chances you are given. But I still hope that this fight with Usyk will take place,” said Wilder.
Usyk received permission from the WBC to make a voluntary title defense against Wilder.
