Prehistory:
- On June 1, the SBU conducted a spider web special operation, which resulted in strategic aviation aircraft at 4 Russian aerodromes.
- The head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk stated that in total it is “the defeat of 34% of strategic carriers of winged missiles at the main aerodromes of the Russian Federation”. According to the SBU, the estimated cost of equipment affected by the spider web special operation exceeds $ 7 billion.
- NATO called the “web” of the most successful operation – at least 40 aircraft were estimated by the Alliance. 10 to 13 aircraft are completely destroyed.
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that in this operation the intelligence services used exclusively Ukrainian weapons and did not use equipment from allies warehouses.
