– You started football lessons at a more serious level at the Dynamo Kyiv academy. How did you get there?
– Playing for Dynamo Kyiv was a childhood dream. For as long as I can remember, my father and older brother always went to Kyiv for Dynamo matches at the Lobanovsky Stadium and NSC Olympiisky. When he was training in “Olympus” of Fastovsk, we had a specialist who worked in the structure of “Dynamo”. He suggested that I go to the screening. At that time, I trained for six months at Chaika. When I went to Kyiv and approached, I didn’t even believe that I managed to do it. Although it was not easy to train at the “Dynamo” school. Due to the fact that it took one and a half to two hours to get to Kyiv from his village every day in one direction. And after all, I still had to study at school. Sometimes, in order to be on time for training, he had to skip classes. Over the past year and a half, I got tired of such a schedule. Perhaps, even because he was unformed, he was not used to such tests. However, I do not regret that it happened. These difficulties hardened me. I had to show my character every day.
– Why didn’t you stay at the Dynamo school?
– Difficult question. At first, I trained under the guidance of Yuri Eskin. Then they made one out of two teams born in 2000. The coach has also changed. I soon had to leave. Everything turned out to be banal: after one of the training sessions, we were told to stay and announced who was leaving the team. A whole list of nine or ten guys. It was a huge blow for me. I drove home with my father in the car and could not calm down. I couldn’t believe that they kicked me out. And I didn’t know what to do next. I even thought about ending football. It was the same, even though I was only 13. Later, similar thoughts crept in a few more times, but mom and dad helped. I came home, they started discussing what to do. I decided that I would prove that I could and was capable. I immediately called the Chaika coach on the phone and told him that I had been kicked out of Dynamo. The coach supported me, told me to come back, that they were counting on me. In general, the team supported me then. I am grateful to the guys and the coach for this.
– Is there any grudge left after this story? Maybe you perceive “Dynamo” as a special irritant?
– No. After all, I was a child. Why keep children’s grievances? Moreover, there were enough difficulties in my career. For example, when he performed among fans for Vyshhorod “Chaika”. This team was created so that guys who did not get a job in professional football could train and play for another hour and, perhaps, prove themselves to the representatives of one of the clubs. At the end of the season, the team was really disbanded. I went to watch Luhansk Zarya U19. There was a month on view. They assured me that I fit in and, accordingly, I should stay. After a month of gatherings, it really came down to signing the contract. It seemed that the formalities remained, but five days before the start of the championship they told me: “You are not eligible. There will be no contract.”
Earlier it was reported that Egor Tverdokhleb called the reason for his performance.
