DTEK reminded that NEC “Ukrenergo” temporarily limited the supply of electricity to industry and business from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
“The main reason for the outages is that the power equipment has been heavily damaged by shelling. The situation remains difficult. The power engineers are forced to make a pit stop. They unscheduledly take out some capacities for repairs, which we do not specify for security reasons,” DTEK said.
The company also explained what “pit stop” means.
“In auto racing, this is a short stop, during which the mechanics quickly change tires and refuel. Without this, the racer may lose the chance to complete the distance. The same is true with energy. This is especially important now, during the heating period. Remember, energy is working 24 hours a day. They are doing everything possible to restore electricity. The battle for electricity continues right now,” DTEK said.
