Nazariy Gryntsevich, a young serviceman from Vinnitsa, who was known as one of the youngest defenders of Azovstal and was captured by Russian, posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. Grintsevich, known under the call sign “Grinka”, served in the Azov regiment. After his release from captivity in September 2022, where he spent more than 4 months, he became one of the founders of the special unit “Contact 12”, occupying the position of platoon commander.

The mother of the hero, Marianna Gryntsevich, noted that the son dreamed of this award, but always emphasized that she should be obtained exclusively for military merit.
