The Cabinet has approved payment to some categories of Ukrainians to Independence Day.
According to CMU Resolution No. 1396, five categories of persons have the right to receive one -time financial assistance. Citizens who participated in hostilities as well as affected from the war.
How much will they pay in 2025:
- Persons with disabilities as a result of war: group I – 3 100 UAH; Group II – 2 900 UAH; Group III – 2 700 UAH;
- participants of hostilities, victims on the Maidan – 1 000 UAH;
- persons with special merit before Ukraine – 3 100 UAH;
- members of the families of the dead, the wives/men of the dead defenders (if they have not married for the second time) – 650 UAH;
- Other participants of the war, deported, children of underground – 450 UAH.
INSeven pensioners who are entitled to one -time financial assistance for Independence Day will be received in August with pension. It is not necessary to contact pensioners to make such payment.
According to the PFU, war veterans who serve or work and are not pensioners work, the funds will enter the accounts of military units, institutions, organizations where they serve or work. All information should be provided by employers.
“If you are not a pensioner and pass the service/work, then make sure that the employer has documents about your affiliation with war veterans,” PFU said.
Those who are entitled to pay, do not receive a pension, do not work (do not work), to receive assistance should contact the territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine until August 1 this year. You can also apply for payments because of Web portal PFC electronic services or send by mail.

- the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card (except for persons who, because of their religious beliefs, refuse to accept the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card and informed the relevant controlling body and have a passport mark);
- Details of the certificate of the person who entitles to receive monetary payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine (number and series, date and place of issue, name of the body (official) who issued the document).
