The Ministry of Defense talked about the work of recruiting centers / collage UNIAN, photo UNIAN, ua.depositphotos.comToday, UAV operators are the most popular vacancies in the recruiting centers of the Armed Forces.Vacancies in the maintenance of military equipment and weapons are also popular, said Oleksiy Bezhevets, the authorized representative of the Ministry of Defense for recruiting.
“We monitor this dynamic every week. There are spikes in one direction or another. Traditionally, unmanned aerial vehicle operators, positions related to the maintenance of military equipment, staff positions, and logistics are popular,” he detailed.
The commissioner emphasized that the Armed Forces need volunteers, and, first of all, those who can hold positions related to the maintenance of military equipment and various types of weapons. That is, shooting positions and operators.
“More than 6,500 Ukrainians have already taken advantage of the opportunity to join the Defense Forces through recruiting centers,” he said, adding that currently 39 recruiting centers are operating in Ukraine.
He noted that the period of employment under mobilization lasts only a few days, and under the contract a little longer, because more documents need to be collected.
Bezhevets emphasized that the work process of recruiting centers continues to improve, but a number of issues have already been resolved.
Recruiting in the Armed ForcesOn September 17, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis the draft law (No. 12023) on amendments to the procedure for performing military service under contract by foreigners and stateless persons. According to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, People’s Deputy from the “Voice” faction, according to the document, the establishment of the Center for Recruiting Foreigners is envisaged.
