Viktor Komarenko, a neurophysiologist and head of the psychological support and rehabilitation group of the Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, tells NV about the changes experienced by civilians who are mobilizing and explains how fighters can adapt.
Before the full-scale invasion, the life of Viktor Komarenko, a native of Kyiv, was in no way connected with the army. Candidate of biological sciences and associate professor of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology KNU. Taras Shevchenko, he was engaged in science and taught. And in 2017, Komarenko co-founded the neurotechnology company Beehiveor — a center for neuromarketing and behavioral research.
The Great War forced the scientist to abandon his usual life and take up arms. However, even in the ranks of the Defense Forces, he was able to apply his knowledge of the peculiarities of human behavior. Currently, Komarenko heads the group of psychological support and recovery of the Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
