Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina reached the semifinals of the major and rose to tenth place. Svitolina returned to the top 10 for the first time since September 2021.
Two other leading Ukrainian tennis players – Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska – left the Australian Open in the first round and lost positions. Marta dropped from the 20th step to the 23rd, and Diana – from the 28th to the 43rd.
Oleksanda Oliynikova, despite the fact that she also finished in Melbourne in the first round, added one place – she is 91st. Yulia Starodubtseva overcame the qualification and rose from the 110th place to the 102nd place (she also won one match at the WTA 125 competition in Manila).
Angelina Kalinina overcame the selection for AO-2026 – plus 12 places and the current 162nd position. Daria Snigur is also in the top 200 of Ukrainian women – 144th (minus eight places).

Australian Open 2026 champion Yelena Rybakina moved up to third place and is only 368 points behind second-placed Igi Sveontek. The first racket of the world is Arina Sobolenko.
Coco Goff dropped to fifth place. Amanda Anisimova is in fourth place.
Among other changes in the top 10: the aforementioned progress of Elina Svitolina, as well as Belinda Bencic’s rise to the ninth place.
Last year’s major champion in Australia, Madison Keys, left the tournament in the fourth round this season and ranks 15th in the updated WTA ranking.
Top 10 of the WTA rating
In the WTA doubles ranking, Lyudmila Kichenok remains the first racket of Ukraine – 31st.
The top 100 also includes Nadiya Kichenok – 63rd. Marta Kostiuk failed to defend last year’s Aus Open doubles quarter-final and dropped to 156th place.
