What about Mike Tyson’s record? The promising heavyweight has 4 months left

20-year-old heavyweight boxer Moses Itauma may not have time to break the record of the legendary Mike Tyson, who became the world champion at the age of 20 years and 144 days. The British boxer is about four months away from winning the heavyweight title.

“I am sure that one day I will be able to win the title fight and become the world champion. But if we are talking about conquering Mike Tyson’s record, then one important thing should be taken into account – I simply have no way to do it. If I had the chance to fight for the title in the near future, I would definitely take it.

Obviously, boxing has changed and is not much like what it was 30 years ago. Now there are a lot of moments that cannot be controlled by a boxer. All I can do in this situation is to enter the ring and knock out my opponents,” Itauma said.

It is clear that current heavyweight champions Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois are not going to face Moses anytime soon. However, there is still WBA World title holder Kubrat Pulev, with whom they can arrange a fight for Itauma in the shortest possible time.
