The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, did not apologize to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, after the full-scale invasion began, for Russian missiles attacking Ukraine from Belarusian territory. This was stated by Lukashenka’s press secretary Nataliya Eismont in a comment to rosZMI, reports UNN.

First. The conversation between the presidents of Belarus and Ukraine in the first days of the conflict took place solely thanks to the emotional reaction of the youngest son of the Belarusian president, Mykola, who had Zelensky’s personal contact in his phone. What was the essence of that conversation: our president first of all talked about the fact that the conflict broke out on the territory of Ukraine, on the territory of Zelenskyi, and it is he who will eventually have to be more responsible than anyone else for the deaths of people. That is why our president called to sit down at the negotiating table, which was done: 3 rounds of negotiations in Belarus and then Istanbul,

In addition, she denied the words of Zelensky, who the day before declared that Lukashenko apologized to him for Russia’s shelling of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus.

“The president of Belarus did not apologize to Zelensky, for the simple reason that we have nothing to apologize for,” Eismont added.
